History
Also called Cambo. It was collected by mycologist John Allen.
According to John Allen, the story that they were collected at the historic site of Angkor Wat is not true. They were actually collected near Phnom Phen, the capital of Cambodia, 150 km from Angkor Wat. One strain was collected by John Allen at Angkor Wat and isolated, but due to the confusion that exists today about the nomenclature of this strain, it was confused or mixed with Cambodian, or it was lost.
